Electric shock is the kind of feeling that occurs when a current flows through a part of our body. The extent of this shock depends on a number of factors. We know, V (peak) = 1.4142 * V (RMS) That is why if a person is shocked at 220V in DC, he will be shocked at 220V. But if a person is shocked at 220V in AC, he will be shocked at a maximum of 1.4142 * 220V = 311V. And the 311V is definitely bigger than the 220. That is why it is said here that AC is more dangerous than DC.
