Source Transformation: Current and Voltage Source Conversion

We use various theorems to solve the complex circuit easily. But it is often seen that both the voltage source and current source exist in the same circuit. In order to solve the circuit simply, the current source needs to be converted to a voltage source or a voltage source to a current source. And the process of converting from one source to another is called source transformation.

We will discuss in detail about source transformation today.

What is going on in our discussion today:

  • What is the voltage source?
  • What is the Current Source?
  • The method of converting a voltage source to a current source.
  • The method of converting the current source to the voltage source.

What is the voltage source?

A voltage source is a source whose load varies but provides a certain amount of voltage.

The internal resistance of the voltage sources is very low.

What is the Current Source?

The current source is a source whose load varies but provides a certain amount of current.

Current source’s internal resistance is infinite.

How to convert a voltage source to a current source:

In order to convert a voltage source to a current source, we have to follow a few steps periodically. The steps are described below with examples:

source transformation
Figure 1

Step1: First, the voltage source and its adjacent resistance are connected to the main circuit (Fig1)To be taken apart. (Figure 2)

Figure 2

Step2: Now, the AB edge has to be shortened and converted into a single whole circuit. (Picture 3)

Step 3:Ohm’s formula (V = IR, I = V/R) According to the circuit It has to be evaluated.

Step 4:I Its value must be considered as the current source.

Step 5:Voltage source adjacent series resistance must be connected to the current source in parallel. (Picture 4)

Step 6: The entire circuit being built will need to be connected to the previous location of the main circuit. (Picture 5)

Note that in order to convert a voltage source to a current source, the first condition is that the voltage source must have a series register.

Current Source Voltage Source Conversion Method:

There are several steps we need to take to convert the current source to a voltage source. The steps are described below with examples:

The main circuit of the current source and its adjacent parallel resistances (Fig 6)Have to be separated from.(Figure7)

Step 2:Ohm’s formula (V = IR) According to source V  It has to be evaluated.

Step 3: VIts value has to be considered as a voltage source.

Step 4:Current source must connect to a parallel series of voltage sources in series. (Picture 8)

Step 5:The circuit being built will now need to be connected to the previous location of the main circuit. (Picture 9)

This would be the appropriate blog if you really wants to discover this topic. You are aware of a great deal of its nearly difficult to argue on hand (not too I really would want…HaHa). You certainly put a whole new spin using a topic thats been discussing for decades. Wonderful stuff, just fantastic!

business management can make or break the success of a company that is why it is very very critical~
